Westies top North Haven 15-14

(April 10, 2023)  - After opening the season with a pair of losses, the West Haven girls lacrosse team got into the win column with a thrilling 15-14 victory over North Haven at Ken Strong Stadium in West Haven Monday evening.

Senior Melissa Tsakonas had a great offensive day with five goals and four assists, while Delaney Johnston was also stellar with five goals. Julia Tsakonas added two goals and an assist, while Chloe Whelan had a goal and an assist, Cassidy Dalton and Brooke Moscato each added a goal, and Julianna Gonzalez had one assist.

Gaels top WH 11-5

(April 12, 2023)  - After getting in the win column, the West Haven girls lacrosse team looked to keep the momentum going. Unfortunately for the Westies, they fell to 1-3 with an 11-5 loss at Shelton Wednesday evening.

Delaney Johnston led the offense with three goals, Julia Tsakonas had a goal and an assist, while Brooke Moscato added a goal, and Chloe Whelan had an assist.

Mercy edges past Westies
Tigers top WH 15-14

(April 17, 2023)  - The West Haven girls lacrosse team fell to 1-4 with a 15-14 loss at Mercy Monday evening. Six different players were in the scoring column in defeat for the Westies.

Julia Tsakonas led the way for West Haven with six goals and one assist, Delaney Johnston scored five times, and Brooke Moscato added two goals and an assist. Melissa Tsakonas added one goal and an assist, while Chloe Whelan and Heather Fonda each added two assists.

Thriller
WH rallies past Lyman Hall

(April 22, 2023) - West Haven improved to 2-5 with a thrilling 11-10 victory over Lyman Hall on Saturday. Trailing 5-0, West Haven rallied for the victory as Chloe Whelan scored with 5:27 remaining.
Amber Militrano finished with seven saves, including several in the second half to help preserve the comeback victory.

Delaney Johnston scored six goals, Julia Tsakonas added three, and Brooke Moscato also scored for West Haven. Nada El Mouki and Melissa Tsakonas each had two assists in the win.

Foran tops Westies
WH falls 14-7

(April 24, 2023) - The West Haven girls lacrosse team could not continue its winning ways, falling to Foran 14-7 in Milford Monday evening. With the loss, the Westies fell to 2-6 on the year.
Melissa Tsakonas and Delaney Johnston led the way with three goals apiece, while Julia Tsakonas also scored once. Johnston added two assists, while Chloe Whelan and Brooke Moscato added one assist apiece.

Amber Militrano made 16 saves in the loss for West Haven.

Johnston leads WH to 10-9 victory

(May 1, 2023) - The West Haven girls lacrosse team won for the second time in three games and improved to 3-6 with a 10-9 victory at Lyman Hall on Monday.
Delaney Johnston led the way with three goals and two assists, Julia Tsakonas had three goals, and Chloe Whelan added two goals and an assist. Melissa Tsakonas finished with four assists.
Brooke Moscato and Juliana Gonzalez each scored one in the victory. Amber Militrano finished with 10 saves.

Westies fall to Shelton
WH drops 17-6 decision

(May 3, 2023) - After winning two of three contests, the West Haven girls lacrosse team fell to Shelton 17-6 Wednesday evening at Ken Strong Stadium in West Haven. With the loss, West Haven fell to 3-7 on the year.
Delaney Johnston led West Haven with five goals, while Julia Tsakonas had a goal and an assist in the loss. Melissa Tsakonas and Brooke Moscato each added an assist for the Westies.
Amber Militrano made six saves for West Haven.

Back on Track
WH tops Law

(May 5, 2023) – West Haven got back on the winning track with an 18-6 victory over Jonathan Law at Ken Strong Stadium in West Haven Friday evening. West Haven improved to 4-7 with the win.
Delaney Johnston led the West Haven offense with six goals and one assist, Julia Tsakonas had three goals and three assists, Nada El Mouki and Cassidy Dalton each scored twice, and Chloe Whelan added one goal and five assists. Brooke Moscato had two goals and an assist, Melissa Tsakonas finished with a goal and three assists, and Juliana Gonzalez finished with one goal.
Amber Militrano finished with three saves in the win.​

WH tops Law 12-11

(May 8, 2023) - The West Haven girls lacrosse team won its second straight contest and improved to 5-7 on the year with a 12-11 victory at Jonathan Law Monday evening.  
Delaney Johnston led the way with four goals and two assists. Julia Tsakonas scored three goals, Cassidy Dalton added a goal and two assists, and Melissa Tsakonas, Chloe Whelan, and Brooke Moscato each finished with one goal and an assist. Juliana Gonzalez added one goal, and Amber Militrano finished with eight saves.  

Foran tops Westies
WH falls 17-6

(May 10, 2023) – West Haven saw its two-game winning streak come to an end with a 17-6 loss against Foran at Ken Strong Stadium Wednesday evening. West Haven fell to 5-8 with the loss.
Delaney Johnston led the offense with three goals, Chloe Whelan added two goals and an assist, and Julia Tsakonas also scored. Melissa Tsakonas, Heather Fonda, and Brooke Moscato each added one assist.
Amber Militrano made 12 saves in the loss.​
