Sharks win 100-45

 - The West Haven girls track team fell to Sacred Heart Academy 100-45 in Hamden Monday afternoon. The Westies won just three events in the meet.
The 4 x 100 relay team of Natalia Frazer, Latyana March, Alana Gambardella and Charnae Epps won in 53.8 seconds, while Frazer won the long jump at 13-6. Epps won the 200 in 28.8

Westies fall to Lyman Hall
Trojans prevail 92-57

The West Haven boys track team fell to Lyman Hall 92-57 Wednesday afternoon in Wallingford. Sophomore Willie Colon was part of three winning events. 
Colon won the 110 hurdles in 18.1 seconds, and the 300 IH in 43.2 seconds. Colon was also part of the winning 4 x 400 team with junior Michael Stradowski, senior Talon Butler and senior Giovanni Tshibangu in a time of 3 minutes, 50.2 seconds. 
Junior Tamarko ​Oakes won the high jump at 5 feet, 4 inches.

Green Knights post 90-58 win

 Despite winning eight events, the West Haven boys track team fell to Notre Dame Wednesday afternoon 90-58.

West Haven won the 4 x 800 relay in 8 minutes, 49.8 seconds with a team of Sebastian Vilanueva, Michael Stradowski, Kevin Colon and Willie Colon. The 4 x 100 relay team of Maia, Abdul Aremu, Talon Butler and Tamarko Oakes won in 44.9 seconds, while Kevin Colon won the 110 hurdles in 18.1 seconds, and Aremu won the 100 in 11.4.

Aaron Vaughn was victorious in the shot put at 37-9, Oakes won the high jump at 5-8. and Willie Colon won the 300 hurdles in 42.3. Vaughn also tied for the top spot in the discus at 93-0.
