Xavier tops Westies
Falcons post 91-46 victory

he West Haven boys track team fell to Xavier 91-46 Wednesday afternoon in Middletown, 

The Westies won the 4x100 relay in 46.1 seconds with a team of Willie Colon, Doug Johnson, Coates, and Tomarko Oakes. Colon also won the 110 hurdles in 16.9 seconds, Coates was victorious in the 100 in 11.4 seconds. 

Colon won the 300 hurdles in 43.3, and Oakes was victorious in the 200 in 23.2. 

Johnson was victorious in the long jump at 17-5, and Oakes took the high jump at 5-0.

Westies nip Hamden
Villanueva keys victory

 - The West Haven boys track team defeated Hamden 65-61 on the road Tuesday afternoon. 

West Haven won the 4 x 800 relay in 11 minutes, 12.7 seconds, and the 4x100 relay in 47.7 seconds. 

Colon won the 110 hurdles in 19.0 seconds, Sebastian Villanueva won the 1600 in 5:03.3, and Tamarko Oakes won the 400 in 53.5. 

Villanueva also won the 3200 in 10:24.9, and Demerick Blackford was victorious in the high jump at 5-6.

Hamden tops Westies
Green Dragons post 79-40 victory

 - The West Haven girls track team fell to Hamden 79-40 in Hamden Tuesday afternoon. 

Mendez won the 100 in 13.9 seconds, Aitza Perez won the 300 hurdles in  57.1 seconds, and Samantha Mendez won the long jump at 13-2.
